Choose templates for the sustainability topics that you need
Each template contains instructions and structured tables for collecting your data. The templates correspond to Global Reporting Initiative topics. For example, if you need a template for greenhouse gas emissions (see GRI 305: Emissions 2016), choose template 3_2 Greenhouse Gas Emissions data template.

1_Get started with sustainability reporting
Workflow 1 of the Sustainability Report Starter Pack lays the groundwork for effective sustainability reporting. By completing this first module, beginners will be able to complete their first report more quickly and in reference to established standards.
2_Organizational objectives and context templates
Workflow 2 focuses on establishing goals for sustainability reporting. This guides processes such as data selection. It also includes templates for providing organizational context for your stakeholders.
3_1 Environmental data template
Workflow 3_1 focuses on environmental impacts, covering metrics such as energy use, water management, waste disposal, and greenhouse gas emissions.
3_2 Greenhouse gas emissions data template
Workflow 3_2 focuses on Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions metrics. It is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard.
4_Social data template
Workflow 4 focuses on social metrics including employee turnover, benefits, parental leave, occupational health, work-related injuries, and diversity.
5_Governance and economic data template
Workflow 5 focuses on governance and economic impacts. Key metrics include gender wage ratios, management ratios, local supplier spending, and anti-corruption practices.
6_Significant Impacts Template
In Workflow 6, you will evaluate your environmental, social, and governance data to determine your organization’s most significant impacts, termed “material topics.” This involves analyzing positive and negative impacts’ scopes and scales.
7_Verify, design, publish template
In Workflow 7, use a checklist to ensure your reporting includes proper methodology and details. You”ll compile data on significant impacts, create an index, and publish your report according to established standards. Additionally, you will prepare for next year’s reporting cycle.
